Lipid Matrix Coated Formate
Formavin contains Sodium formate coated in a lipid matrix. Sodium formate is an Organic acid. The lipid matrix carries the Sodium formate to the intestine where it dissociates to form Formic acid. The Formic acid molecules act in the intestine and retard growth of pathogenic bacteria. Reduced pathogenic growth will result in improved digestibility of feed and formation of dry litter.
