Combination of Trace Minerals Inorganic Salts and Amino Acid Chelates
OTM contains inorganic salts and amino acid chelates of essential trace minerals. Inorganic trace minerals added to the feed are absorbed only up to a certain point beyond which they are excreted from the body. This may lead to mineral deficiency. In order to ensure proper absorption of trace minerals and rectify mineral deficiency amino acid chelated trace minerals are added to the feed.
Organic (chelated) trace minerals are absorbed faster and more completely when compared to the inorganic trace minerals. On average, if the absorption of inorganic trace minerals is about 70% of the given dose, the absorption of chelated minerals is almost 100% in the intestine. Hence, in order to compensate nearly 30% loss in the inorganic trace mineral availability, organic trace minerals are added upto 30% as a top up to the inorganic trace minerals. Combomin provides the full dose of inorganic trace minerals topped up with adequate amount of organic trace minerals.
